Armor components in this style were used across Europe from the late 14th to the early 15th century. This armor style clearly represents a transition from the early 14th century coat of plates to full plate armor. In the early 14th century, plate armor initially emerged as reinforcement over the hauberk, with separate armor pieces worn on top. With
