Barley Moon Over the John Day River P04500-P00237 but then becomes alluringly blue

but then becomes alluringly blue and bubbly

A pleasing geometric sculpture

The high temperature of the kiln combined with a clear glaze overlay slightly blurs the drawing

Moore used an old fashioned technique of ''burning'' to darken the background which heightens the drama of the white feathers

Two glass sections in the front of the table add interest

Barley Moon Over the John Day River P04500-P00237 but then becomes alluringly blueInspired by a rafting trip on the John Day River in Central Oregon, the color and texture of this vibrant piece were first created on a printing press as a monotype, after which fine details were added in gouache, resulting in eye catching reflective touches. Limited edition archival print; ships unframed. Fabric & Care Artist recommends framing behind glass to preserve work.
