A keyhole shaped cutout is made in the underside of this teardrop to guide the expander into the ear. One end of the hook is threaded through the earlobe, requiring a stretch of approximately 8mm. Therefore, this stretcher is only suitable for earlobes stretched to 8mm or larger. The section that rests inside the piercing channel is
