Dalmore, Single Malt Scotch, 14 Year NO-WINE-SEARCHER and a streak of crushedDalmore built its reputation on sherry casks, and the 14 leans all the way in: matured in American white oak ex bourbon barrels, then finished in hand selected Pedro Ximenez casks from Gonzalez Byass in Jerez. PX is the sweetest and most raisiny of the sherries, and that finish pushes the whisky toward dates, figs and marmalade rather than the citrus or smoke you find elsewhere in the Highlands. It's bottled at 43. 8% and is a US market exclusive.
