Marine Textures Objet d'Art 22 Bread Plate due to its high ironIn this objet dart, Alyne Ohigashi imaginatively combines natural forms to create a fantastical marine and botanical sculpture. Inspired by the textures of sea urchins and cactuses, it seems to be in a constant state of growth, revealing new details with every viewing. Multiple layers of glazes in blue, green, turquoise, and navy flow and meld together, evoking a tide pool or a warm tropical sea. Touches of gold recall the sun shining on the water.
