1879-CC Morgan Dollar Capped-Die - Extremely Fine Fr. 1890-E 500 $10 Quarter-Ounce 122Coming from the same collection as the 1799 Bust Dollar, this coin hasn't seen the light of day in the past 30 years. It has wonderfully original surfaces and sharp detail. The so called "Capped Die" variety is, of course, not a capped die at all. Rather, it is a sloppy large CC over small CC. Moreover, in reality, it is significantly more common than the non "Capped Die" variety. I've basically taken wholesale bid and subtracted what would amount to
